How do you spend your time? Do you spend enough time with God? We dive into the song “In the Garden”. We talk through a bunch of Scripture that speaks about spending time with God and we take a look at the quote, “It is the daily companionship with the Lord that makes up the Christian’s life.”

This week’s devotion is a good reminder. It is easy to get “too busy” that we stop doing what we need and take up something else we think we need. I find it ironic to work in a place where time is irrelevant much of the time. I see people desperate to make back the money they have lost, thinking if they keep playing they can win it back. It is sad many times we don’t treat time as if it is precious. We sometimes abuse it. Was just thinking of these people I see every day who never realize their time was as precious as the money they lost, maybe they would not be so quick to give away their time. How many times though we waste time in various ways and miss out being with God as a result. I know a schedule helps me stay focused to spend time praying and Bible reading.

So love that I opened this today, after the devotion of ” getting in the boat” with Jesus. I love the back story on all these hymns and songs we have been so blessed to have been given, this song has meant so much to me, especially , in the beginning , when it was all so new , spending time alone with my First Love !!!!!!!! ….and the joy we share , as we tarry there , none other has ever known. thank You Jesus, You are always here with me………………and He walks with me, and He talks with me……………..let it be!!!!!!!
