Awesome devotion! This is something we all need to hear time and time again because we tend to forget it when we fail, especially when we make the same mistakes over and over again.
God does not give up on us. The Blood of Jesus is more than enough.
The thoughts of guilt and shame are our own thoughts and the thoughts of the accuser of the brethren- the enemy.
I like the image Dave describes here – our sin was dissolved on the Cross.
Run to God, not from Him. Confess your sin (He already knows about it anyway). Let Him cleanse you. Receive His Love again.

Dave sings the Matthew West song, “The God Who Stays” – here is the chorus – believe it and receive it:
    You’re the God who stays,
    You’re the God who stays,
You’re the One who runs in my direction when the whole world walks away.
You’re the God who stands with wide open arms,
And you tell me “Nothing I have ever done can separate my heart from the God who stays.”

Yes Dave, this was a much needed devotion, reminders in Gods word of how very much He loves us. I for one, do need to dwell in this indescribable love of Jesus, as I did , after hearing this yesterday and have come back to today. Soaking up the promises and words in Ephesians 1:3 through 7, especially………Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing……….He chose us……….to the praise of the glory of His grace by which He has made us ” accepted in the Beloved”………IN HIM, we have redemption through His blood………and hearing Jesus ” rejoice over us with singing” as it states in Zephaniah 3:17.
And I guess we all heard songs in our heads after , I know I did. Your new song Dave, You Are Loved is so beautiful. and I also heard Mack Brock’s song , I Am Loved, ” Just as I am , You welcome me, with open arms, how can this be, My guilt is undone, my past is untethered, I leave it behind, and run to my Father………There is no disappointment in Your eyes, There is no shame, there is only pride, I am loved, Father I’m loved by You”…………………….too often we are shaped by our life experiences, from childhood , through marriage and beyond……….and often need to fight wrong words in our heads……our identity is in JESUS, and all He died to free us from, and make us the “new creation” we are…………In HIM!
