9.28.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. A study on the Holy Spirit. Part 79. Life?

DEVOTION: “Never live in a place that is less than where God has called you to, and He has called you up on high to live with Him. God has designed that everything will be subject to man. Through Christ He has given you power over the power of the enemy. (Luke 10:19). He has worked out your eternal redemption. (pg 116)

So. On reading this the first time I wanted to dig into the “never live in a place where God has not called you to.”

Ultimately, God has called us to live on high with Him in heaven but while we’re here on Earth, where are you living? How are you living? Are you living where God wants you to be? Let me re-phrase that, are you living the life that God wants you to live?

Let me ask that again because that is a VERY hard question to answer. Are you living the life that God wants you to live?

So, once again, time to take an audit of your life. Your actions. Your relationships. Your time.

Maybe you’re about to delete this post because this is getting too personal but we need to do this. We need to stop and look at our surroundings, our decisions, our relationships, our time. God has called us to this incredible life with Him. How much time are you spending with Him in this incredible life? Does your life seem incredible?

I know. This devotion is mainly comprised of questions but…these are questions that need to be asked.

Our God calls us to Him. Calls us to live with Him in this life. Are you doing that?

Quick comment on that. Maybe the question back to me is how can I do that? Good one.

Our relationship with God is just that. A relationship. It’s not a one way street where we just ask God for stuff and He provides. We need to have an ongoing conversation. A real back and forth with Him. Spending time in His Word to realize and understand who He is. Who this Spirit is that inside of us? Guiding our steps and our path.

Today. Maybe you’re having trouble answering a few questions. Maybe you’re having a tough time understanding why it’s important. I get it.

Maybe today’s the day to start answering. Maybe today is the day to start really digging into where you’re at. Digging into where God wants you to be.

Maybe.

PRAYER: God, today I pray for direction. For guidance. For a deeper relationship with you. Let your Spirit in me guide me and lead me.

Are you listening to God and answering him? Remember that we are made in his image. We are but a piece of clay that the potter already knows what he will form you into. Knowing us from the beginning to the end. And only when he knows we’re ready will he put us thru the fires of life in order to harden us in his image. Even after we are put thru the fires he continues to brighten us and put color in our life. May we each thank him for filling us up and brightening our lives with others around us. God is good!

I want to be a better me. What I hear and what I read is not for me to take offense but to search through, seek the truth, to ask is this of God? Jesus came, as the living expression of God’s word; he showed the way then left behind the Holy Spirit to bring the word to my remembrance John 14:26

I asked to be made aware. I have been shown things I need to change, things I need to embrace, and things I need to discard. I am also learning that regret and shame is not from God. I was forgiven the moment I asked. I fear the Lord, not by cowering in the dark or keeping a distance but I fear living my life without God. I come to Him in a reverent awe. Draw near to me and I draw near to you James 4:8

    Philippians 1:9–10
And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ.

    Romans 14:22
The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves.

    Proverbs 1:7
    The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge;
    fools despise wisdom and instruction.

    John 14:26
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said

Amen !!!! So be it !!! ‘we say ‘ Amen when we agree with the word spoken, that it would manifest in our life, our soul, our heart and mind ! Lyrics from a song , that has been a prayer , oh forever, words similar to ” I Make My Life ‘a Prayer To You” that has become a almost a daily prayer from its inception . ‘the lyrics that fill my heart now , are from long ago, but yet, the constant cry of my heart, by Nancy Honeytree – Maranatha : lyrics; ” I’m going to Bethel to meet with my Lord, I know the way well, I”ve been there before. For its there I made a vow, I’m trying hard to keep, Sometimes I need reminding, sometimes I need to weep, Lord meet me at the altar where Jacob came to pray, When his steps began to falter and his heart had gone astray. Oh, meet me at Bethel, My promise I renew, I’m going to the altar, To give my heart to You. ! I’m going to Bethel, I’m going alone, To learn to do Your will instead of my own. for I long to be like Jacob, When Your favor he had found, with my heart in the heavens, And my feet on the ground” .Lord meet me at the altar where Jacob came to pray”……….Amen !!!!!!! ….. my prayer..for this day of Yom Kippur,
    The Day of Atonement !!!!!!!!!
………..continued prayers for all in the community, and for all the needs on the prayer wall……………………..
