9.21.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. A study on the Holy Spirit. Part 72. Promises.

PRAYER: Thank God for His sacrifice. For His grace and mercy. For His love.

DEVOTION: “God’s word is a tremendous word, a productive word. It produces what is – power. It produces Godlikeness. We get to heaven through Christ, the Word of God; we have peace through the blood of the cross. Redemption is ours through the knowledge of the Word. I am saved because God’s Word says so; “If you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Rom. 10:9). If I am baptized with the Holy Spirit, it is because Jesus said, “You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you” (Acts 1:8). We must all have one thought, to be filled with the Holy Spirit. To be filled with God.” (pg 106)

Godlikeness. I like that word. Sounds like a word that I would have made up on one of my livestreams.

This paragraph really is an amazing, truth telling, re-affirming paragraph. Let me just list out the promises here:

We get to Heaven through Christ.

We have peace through the blood of the cross.

Redemption is ours through the Word.

I am saved because God’s word says so.

We receive power through the Holy Spirit.

That alone just brings me to my knees and leaves me speechless. The fact that all of this is freely given to us. All of us. God, remind us daily of your sacrifice for our freedom. Of your great love for us. Of your great devotion to us. Of your great mercy and grace to us.

Today. Read those promises again, meditate on them and garner them close to your heart.

Amen Repent, Reaffirm and rejoice in Him. He will fill us to the brim with his grace and mercy. I give my life fully to you Jesus. Take control and guide me in your ways not mine. That alone is a great mantra. I know I need it everyday. Thank you Jesus.
