9.10.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. A study on the Holy Spirit. Part 61. Lead.

PRAYER: Today. Pray that as God opens doors in and around your walk, that you would be a true example of Him in it all.

DEVOTION: “We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak” (Romans 15:1) Some who come to these meetings know nothing about the power of the Holy Spirit. They get saved and are quickened, and after the Spirit comes upon them, you will see all these manifestations. In love and grace, you should bear with them as newborn babes in the Spirit and rejoice with them because that is only the beginning to an end. The Lord wouldn’t want us to be anything but “strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” (Ephesians 6:10) to help everyone around us.” (pg 88)

I love the first part of this paragraph. Straight out of Romans. We who are strong ought to bear the infirmities of those who are weak. I think we can extend that idea just a little bit. We who are informed ought to help those who are not informed. We who know should tell those who don’t know. We who have ears to hear should help others hear. We could go on and on but the point is simple.

We know Jesus. We ought to share Jesus with others. We need to be strong in the Lord and power of His might so that we can share that power with others and help them become strong in their faith and their walk.

Those who hurt need help. Those who are deaf need ears. Our lives, our own walk and our own journey exists to bring others the knowledge and experience that we have with Jesus. We live to serve. We don’t live to lift ourselves up and take us higher and higher. We live to lift others up. Give others the help they need to see Jesus in it all.

Today. As you go through your day, your life, your walk, your journey. Be Jesus. Be Jesus to someone else. Give the deaf ears to hear. Give the blind eyes to see. Give the uninformed information. Lead by example. The example that has been set before us.

May God speak kind words to you and you to others. Be the image he builds is to be, More off him and less of us. In his glory proclaim his great works.

    Matthew 28:19-20
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

The world can offer a handout but Jesus sustains
The world can offer compassion but Jesus provides
The world will join in your misery but Jesus will give you peace.
Jesus is hope Jesus is love
The world is fleeting Jesus is forever

We cannot solve problems but we can point to Jesus, who can.
I can be harsh; I don’t listen to people go into details about their problem. No detail will change the truth…they have a problem and Jesus has the answer. I don’t want to be a band-aid, I want to be the surgeon…in the name of Jesus.

My missions motivation scripture: (Romans 10:13-15)
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved”. How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news?”
