8.8.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. A study on the Holy Spirit. Part 28. Speak life?

PRAYER: Please pray for love. That the love of Jesus would be reflected in your life. Take 2 minutes today and focus on His love in your life.

DEVOTION: “Beloved, there is a spiritual language, and there is also a human language, which always stays on the human plane. The divine comes into the same language so that it is changed by spiritual power and brings life to those who hear you speak. But this divine touch of prophecy will never come in any way except through the infilling of the Spirit.” (pg 41)

So…we’re back to words. It seems like we always come back to the words that we speak and the power that those words have. Smith notes here that the divine comes into your language and it’s changed by spiritual power and brings life to those who hear you speak.

Life to those who hear you speak.

And…maybe I should say that again….life to those who hear you speak.

So, i think that’s where I’m going to end today because that is so very much to think about. Your words, the words that you speak, the words that other people hear….they are meant to give life. The Spirit inside of us equips those words to change the life of the person who you are speaking to…to change the outlook of the person or people who hear those words.

Quite the responsibility.

Let’s use our words to speak life. Not pull it away from someone.

Today, prayers up for you and the words that you speak.

    put your best faith forward…

I don’t know who hears me when I speak or reads me when I type but, I do know both God and the enemy are always listening. I can only please one.

AMEN! For so long I have learned to pray, almost every morning, especially just before I entered work, but is so needed always, Psalm 19:14 ” Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer”. Amen and Amen Continued prayers for all !

When we stay connected to the Holy Spirit we become what I call “naturally supernatural and supernaturally natural”.
What I mean by that is our natural walking and talking take on a supernatural quality and the supernatural becomes so natural that we don’t even realize it is happening.
I don’t know how many times I have been in a “natural” conversation with a person and say something that I think is just normal conversation, only to find it it had a tremendous impact on the other person – something they were struggling with or praying about.
I had no idea but God did and He directed the conversation.
