8.26.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. A study on the Holy Spirit. Part 46. Life.

PRAYER: Please pray tonight for your pastor.

DEVOTION: “But if you live only for God, then other people will be raised out of death and all kinds of evil into a blessed life through the Spirit.” (Pg 72)

So. Ever thought about it that way?

Ever thought about your life, your words, your actions actually raising someone else from the dead? I certainly haven’t. But….that’s what we do when we introduce Jesus into the conversation with others. When we introduce Jesus into our actions. When we introduce Jesus into our words.

We suddenly breathe life into ourselves and others. The strength, hope and love of Jesus living through us gives strength, hope and love to others.

Don’t take this lightly. The responsibility that we have is a great one. To be a representative of the Father here on earth.

The Spirit guides our actions, our words, our intentions but….we must be open to receiving it. Receiving the power from the Spirit, the direction, the words, the intentions.

Be open. Be ready to listen. Be ready to raise someone from the dead today. Be ready to change a life.

The Spirit in you breathes life to others.

Wow! I never thought of it like that. As we remain God-conscious, and keep Him in our conversations, and let His Light shine through us; we actually have a part in raising others – loved-ones and strangers – out of death and evil; and into life and blessing. Incredible!

May you breathe life into us and may your love overflow thru us into others. Praise you and breathe new life into those who are drifting from you. May we be a new breath unto others and help bring them closer to you. Amen

This sounds like ‘standing in the gap’ for someone in need.

Praying on this today. The power of Baptism ( somewhat ordinary) but of the Holy Spirit (where all limitations are gone) and the resurrections touch. Praise a Hallelujah. Gods grace, Gods life, Gods spirit is a million times greater than he. (Love that too)
Why I believe this world so needs God right now. He is the only one that can fix evil and change that. Nothing else. May God be the Glory. May our focus be on Him. Not man. How are we called to put God in this. I’m praying on that for myself. Right now grateful for the Dave Pettigrew tool box and all of you. Focusing on breathing in God today. What am I filling myself with so I have that to share.

Prayers up for all Pastors during this time. May God give them the strength they need to preach the word of God and be that comfort to their community during these times. May God put His Armor of protection around them from this virus and lift them for each day with His word and Blessings. May God be the focus and this be used for His Glory. Ask for special prayers for Joanna as she preaches this Sunday in her Church. May God give you the words you need for His people to hear. May those words be placed in her mouth through the Holy Spirit to raise and lift those that need it during this time with just the prefect words from you dear Lord. As you will know who Joanna is preaching to and what words need to be spoken. May your word penetrate through the hearts of those that hear your word dear Lord brining them closer to you.
