8.24.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. A study on the Holy Spirit. Part 44. Alive.

PRAYER: Please pray today for the crowd that was at the show last night. We had about 400 people outside, quite a night. Pray that the worship and the prayer would remain with them during their walks this week.

DEVOTION: “Resurrection is the word for it. Resurrection shakes away death and breathes life into you; it lets you know that you are quickened from the dead by the Spirit and that you are made like Jesus. Glory to God…..Jesus is resurrection, and to know Jesus in this resurrection power is simply to see that you no longer have to be dead; you are alive unto God by the Spirit.” (pg 69)

I know. Sometimes, feeling alive is a very difficult thing. Sometimes feeling alive doesn’t feel alive at all. Sometimes we can’t even get out of bed. I get that.

Smith is speaking directly to you and me here. Telling us that the resurrection that we have in Jesus, the power that we have in the Spirit gives us new life. Makes us whole each day.

I know. Sometimes we don’t feel whole. Sometimes there are pieces of us that are missing because….life. But, remember, Jesus died to make you whole. He died to make you alive.

Today. Be alive. Be whole. Fight for the life that Jesus has for you. Fight for it. Stand up today against all that’s taking your life away. Stand up and be made whole. Stand up and be made new. Stand up and be made alive today because…..Jesus.

You are alive today. You are new today.

I needed that this morning. Too much “junk” in our world. Thank You, JESUS…for resurrection power and LIFE💜

Agreed Nela. There’s so much junk in our lives. We need to clear it out and make room for God in it all.

This morning, at 5:30 am I heard, from the radio…’have you heard Rise up by Cain., it’s so good’
my husband shut off the alarm.
I grabbed my Ipad, did a search, played the song…
which led to a rushing in of many songs about the resurrection power. I asked for it, I asked to be made aware, i asked to change.
I have made myself sensitive the Holy Spirit…I pray I can hear, in the busyness of the day, as easily as I heard in the quiet of the morning

Thank you God for each new day and reveling in your glory. I thank you for each breath I am able to take. I am renewed and invigorated in your words. I will heed your voice and answer your call. May my words be a reflection of you. Amen.
