8.2.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. A study on the Holy Spirit. Part 23. New.

PRAYER: Please continue to pray for our nation and our world. That healing would come quickly.

DEVOTION: Pretty power paragraph here. Check this:

It is the shadows that flee away. It is your feelings that have to be moved from you this day. It is the divine unction of a new creation moving in your human nature that has to change all, even your environment, and make you so that your heart, even your mind and your tongue and everything, will be in a place of magnifying the Lord. Remember, it is from above in your heart to change all your life until you will be as He promised, sons of God with power.

Let’s break this down just a little bit because there’s A LOT here.

“It is your feelings that have to be moved from you this day.” Our feelings, our hesitations, our doubt, our lack of trust. These are the things that pull us away from experiencing Jesus. That pull us away from experiencing how He truly is and who He truly can be in our lives.

He points out that our environment has to change sometimes in order for us to be in a place of magnifying our Lord. Sometimes, even a room change can make a difference. Sometimes a venue change or a change in scenery makes an incredible impact. Think on that the next time you feel distant from God and His Spirit. Change the scenery.

“It is from above in your heart to change all your life until you will be as He promised, songs of God with power.”

That this would be the case in our lives. That our lives, our hearts, our thoughts, our actions, our deeds and our desires would be as those of Jesus. That we would exist as sons and daughters of God with power.

Be prepared for a change. Make the change in your heart, your life, your environment, your mindset. Let the Spirit of God rule in all that you do in every day. Let His life fill you. Let His spirit fill you and make the change.

Today, we are new creations.

We need to be reminded every day of what God did for us by giving us Jesus Christ who lived and died for us for our sins.
We need to be in a mindset to be like Jesus, is this easy no as we all must be on our guard to be the best we can be and keep our hope in Him.

No amount of crying, begging, or human logic will change God’s mind. He is to be first and foremost in my heart, in my life….his way, his word above mine. Accepting this has been a slow process but now, I have a good understanding of it. The Holy Spirit is a person, a friend, who stays true to the word of God…showing me the way. He is the reminder to keep myself in check, to pray when needed, to rejoice always. The Holy Spirit will give me words to say, strength in the moment, courage to move on. He is what I need at the moment I need it…lovingly leading me to the changes I need to make.

Amen. So very true. The Spirit is a living testament to all that we do and say….we need to stick close to Him!

Amen ! Phil 2 :13 comes to mind, ” For it is God who works in you both to will and do of His good pleasure..and in the Amplified, (not in your own strength) for it is God Who is all the while effectively at work in you, energizing and creating in you, the power and desire, both to will and to work of His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight. ” This comforts me, that I can trust the Holy Spirit, even at all those times, I am my own worst enemy, acting on feelings …………………………..Continued prayers……………
