8.13.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. A study on the Holy Spirit. Part 33. Partnership.

PRAYER: Prayers for your relationship with God today. Prayers that you would be so filled with Him each and every day.

DEVOTION: “Enter into the promises of God. It is your inheritance. You will do more in one year if you are really filled with the Holy Spirit than you could do in fifty years apart from Him. I pray that you will may be so filled with Him that it will not be possible for you to move without a revival of some kind resulting.” (pg 54)

This is a very appealing paragraph to me. To be able to do more with the Holy Spirit in me than not is a good thing and something I’m ready to pursue.

This idea that we can do more with God. I can attest that this indeed is the case. I have found over the years that a relationship with God in my workflow gives me more creativity, focus and clarity in the midst of a world that excels at distractions.

So, here’s the quick suggestion for the day. Bring God into every task that you have each day. I know, not easy. I try to do it but get pre-occupied and forget or get sidetracked. But…I’m trying.

I think this idea that Smith brings up that we can do so very much more with the Spirit in us than not is gold. We need the Spirit in us to guide us, bring us to places we normally wouldn’t have gone and give us creativity in our work and in our ideas.

I’ve brought this idea up before but our walk and our relationship with God is a partnership. It’s not just us asking and Him giving. It’s us asking and bringing about the answer. It’s about us walking hand in hand with God through our days, our months and our years.

Today. Bring God into it all.

More of him and less of me. A mantra to live by. God is in control and knows us from the beginning to the end. Trusting in him makes the burden easier.

I have thinking about this devotion since it posted. Today (Aug 17 Day 230 this was the devotional in Jonathan Cain’s ‘The Book of Mysteries’….Sunergos…. it means fellow workers. “Ergos’ means to act, to work, or to do. Sun means with or together. Let God live in your living, love in your loving…from sunergos we get synergy. That’s the energy of salvation, the energy of God , and the energy of you flowing together as one…one energy, one motion, one life. Be strong in the power of His might Eph 6:10

    1 Corinthians 3:9
9 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building.

    1 John 4:9
9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
