7.4.21 – Daily Dose of Worship. Freedom.

Take a minute today and just reflect on freedom. The freedom that we have as a people. But more importantly the freedom we have in Jesus.

A few verse to reflect on here:

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” – Galatians 5:1

Do not be yoked by slavery. How do we define slavery? Anything that we depend on, rely on that is not Jesus. Things that continue to bind us up in struggle, hurt, anxiety, stress. Things that pull us away from Jesus. Today, let’s claim victory over those things and ask Jesus to help us release the bonds of slavery that we are wrapped in so that we can continue to focus and rely on Him above all else.

“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” – Galatians 5:13

We are called to freedom. Use the freedom that we have to love, to serve one another.

Father, today, we pray for this to be true in our lives. Help us to embrace freedom so that we may use that freedom to do nothing but glorify You more.

Amen. Today. Embrace the freedom that you have in Jesus.
