7.4.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. 1 John 5:13. Write it down.

PRAYER: Thank you Jesus for the freedom you give us.

DEVOTION: “I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.” – ‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:13‬

John, once again, giving us concrete evidence of our eternal life and salvation. He doesn’t just say it, he’s written it down.

Seems as though when I’m working on a project I tend to remember things better when I write them down as opposed to just saying it or memorizing it.

I know a lot of schools recommend writing notes down as opposed to just verbally speaking or remembering what you’re leaning.

There’s something about the physical act of writing something down. I think it does something to our psyche, something to our thought patterns.

Today. Write it down. Physically, on a sheet of paper. Write about your thankfulness for freedom. Write about your salvation. Write down your prayer today, don’t just verbally speak a prayer, write it down. Make it evident. Concrete. Make it last.

God, today we write our prayers. We write down our thankfulness, our desires, our hopes. So that our minds might make more of them. So that our hearts dig deeper.

Today. We proclaim your life in us.
