4.25.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. Psalm 46:10. Still.

PRAYER: Please pray for a friends dad who is diagnosed positive but fighting!

DEVOTION: “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” – Psalms‬ ‭46:10

Perfect verse for a Saturday night/Sunday morning. God calls us to just take time to be still and be with Him. So hard to do, even now during all of this. It seems as though there are more distractions than ever these days.

Today. It’s going to be a rainy, dreary and cold Sunday in the northeast. Be sure to take some time and spend some time with God. Let Him be praised in your devotion and meditation time. Let Him be glorified in your life. Through the indecisive moments and the moments of clarity. Through the hurt and the hope. Through the pain and the passion. Through it all. Let him be glorified.

Today. Be still. Know that He is here. He is God. He is holding you.

Be still. This is such a mindful and active exercise for me! However, I have certainly found such comfort and calmness in making sure that I take these orchestrated moments with God each morning! I set my alarm to first, get on my knees! Then coffee and bible time! The BEST PART OF WAKING UP!! (no, I do not drink Folgers coffee!! 🙂

Being still is often pretty hard to do but when I do the days are so much better! Let’s be still and know God always!

    God is consistent…

Exodus 14:14 The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.

Psalm 37:7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!

Psalm 62:5 For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.

Job 6:24 Teach me, and I will be silent; make me understand how I have gone astray.

Psalm 131:2 But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me.

Isaiah 32:17 And the effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust forever.

1 Thessalonians 4:11 And to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you.
