4.19.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. Ecclesiastes 7:8-9. Wisdom.

PRAYER: Thank God today.

DEVOTION: “The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride. Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in the lap of fools.” – Ecclesiastes 7: 8-9

Patience is better that pride. Denial of self. Denial of self glory. Humbleness. Be patient. Let wisdom prevail.

Such an amazing verse with so much wisdom in it.

Do not be quickly provoked. Anger resides in the lap of fools. How quickly do you get angry? Ever catch yourself responding to a situation where you know it’s the wrong response but you’re already to deep into it so you have to backpedal a little? Yup….it’s not fun.

Wise words here.

– be patience.

– be slow to anger.

Take these words to heart today. Let them fill your spirit soul. Let them be a lifestyle, a mantra and a way of life.

God. Let us hear your words and obey them.

A lot of lessons learned the hard way have taught me that time can be my friend. Most situations do not need immediate attention, If I step back for a day or two, I can act without emotion. Waiting to be led by the Holy Spirit has shown me success over which was sure to be a disaster. …still learning but better than I used to be

Life can throw many balls and if you catch it the wrong way it can cause pain for a moment but if it stays longer then a moment that’s when you realize why cause it was something or someone who received something to cause the anger and could not verbally use it words maybe he or she learned to just walk away. I’ve crossed and walked times with anger I’m not perfect I’ve learned to listen to situations and just give it to god because replying back is not going to solve anything but to cause hurt. And life is better when I surrender everything and all things to god in Jesus name! 🙏

Amen ! Such a good word from Ecclesiates this morning Dave, thank you. I had just gotten up off of my knees as I prayed specifically for wisdom in a particular situation, and brought up this devotion. Our Father God is so good to us ! Father I give You all the praise and all the glory and You have all ” of this” in Your control, in Your Hands and I give You all the glory. Psalm 130:5 ” I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and In His Word I do hope, My soul waits for the Lord.: Amen!
