4.16.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. Jeremiah 17:7. Blessed.

PRAYER: Please pray for our health care workers.

DEVOTION: “But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.” – Jeremiah‬ ‭17:7‬

Do you trust Him? Do you believe that He will see us through this? Do you believe in the light at the end of the tunnel? The hope that is spoken of so often?

So many of us are trying to have hope and have confidence right now. We are working hard to stay strong and stay confident in our belief that God is here with us in the middle of it all.

But sometimes, we get so wrapped up in the news, the stories and the hype that we get lost and confused. Sometimes we just don’t feel it.

That’s ok. Doubt is a part of life. It’s a part of our DNA. Thomas doubted. He needed to put his hands in the holes in Jesus’ hands to believe. To realize it was really him.

Maybe you need that today. Maybe you’re feeling that way today. It’s OK. This promise from Jeremiah speaks volumes. Blessed are those who trust in the Lord.

Today, work on the blessing. Work on trusting Him more and putting your hope more in Him. In what he promises and says. We are his children. We are his heirs. We are his beloved.

Today. Believe in hope. Believe in confidence. Jesus is here.

This morning, I read a devotional based on Psalm 112:7 They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the LORD to care for them. It ‘s amazing when the devotionals line up.
