3.8.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. Matthew 6:33-34. Surrender.

PRAYER: Please pray for Alistair in the UK who is seeking direction in his life. He’s just started up on our daily devotions.

DEVOTION: “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” – Matthew‬ ‭6:33-34‬

I’m reading a devotion about worry and it said this.

Simply stated, worry is our inability to trust God.”

So very very true. Our worry, our fear, our insecurities. God is calling us deeper to Him. Asking us to trust Him. He is our good father/. He knows what’s best for us. He knows our needs and our wants. Our dreams and our desires.

But trust. Trust is this inexplicable, intangible item in our lives. We wander around it, we dabble in it sometimes but we’re afraid to surrender to it. God is asking for surrender. For complete surrender. We are terrified of surrender. Of what it might mean. Of what it might require of us.

Even as I write this my palms are sweaty just thinking about complete surrender.

Faith. Trust.

God, please give us strength and courage. To live and walk by faith. To walk in trust. To walk in surrender…..
