3.28.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. Psalm 91:7. Trust.

PRAYER: Please pray for continued mercy on our nation and world. For an end to this pandemic.

DEVOTION: “A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.” Psalm 91:7

Again we are reminded of and promised in writing about the protection that God has for us. Many fall around us but we are safe. The calamity will not come near us.

It’s a sobering thought. But again, we have to be smart in our decisions and actions. We have to temper our fear and our lack of trust with trust in our father and trust that he will provide.

Faith once again comes into play here. Faith that He will see us through and faith that he is in the middle of it all.

That faith can only come with a trust that is built in a relationship. A faith from knowing someone and having faith in what has transpired in that relationship. Knowing the heart of the person you’re trusting. How do you get to know the heart? Through interaction, discussion and honesty. Our relationship with God needs to be constant. Needs to be active. Needs to be daily. As with any relationship, it grows and is fostered through interaction.

Prayer is a huge part of this. Pray today. Converse today with God. Let him be a part of your life. Let him be there even when it feels like he’s not.

This devotional reminds of all the times in my past when God showed up. Yes, it is a relationship that has grown. I have faith because God has always been faithful, I have confidence because I know he hears me, I have reverent obedience because I know His ways are better. God is never failing. .I have grown to trust Him with my today.
