3.3.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. Psalm 40:2. The pit.

PRAYER: Please pray for safe travels Thursday as I head to another gig in New Jersey. 4 more kids sponsored on Wednesday night. Praise God.

DEVOTION: “He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.” – Psalms‬ ‭40:2‬

He lifted me out of the pit.

What’s your pit today? Each day we get ourselves wrapped up in something or some situation that pulls us deeper into the inevitable pit. Something at work, at home, at school?

The Psalmist here writes and reminds us that we are pulled out of every situation by the grace of God. By His hand.

The pit that you’re in. There’s a light if you look up. There’s a hope if you look up. We are not made to live in the pit. We are made to live in victory with freedom in our hearts and voices.

Today. Reach up from the pit and grab the hand that is waiting for you.
