3.19.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. 1 Corinthians 15:58. Work.

PRAYER: Please pray for Nancy and Frank tonight. Nancy is struggling with respiratory issues.

DEVOTION: “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:58

Work. Something we all need in our lives. It gives us a sense of purpose and responsibility. It teaches us discipline and teamwork. It makes us proud when it’s done right and accomplishes something.

So what happens when we can’t work? Things get a little weird. Life begins to get strange and starts to lose some perspective, some purpose.

There are a lot of people suffering from this right now. Folks that long for work but can’t because of the situation we are all in. A situation beyond our control.

Let’s take a moment and pray for those who’s careers are about to change. Those who are being forced into the next thing unwillingly and unknowingly.

In the middle of all of this, lives will change. Hearts will change and be changed. I pray that as you continue to evolve in this situation that God would reveal to you his plan for what’s next. That his plan would be received willingly and with purpose.

Things are changing. Lives are changing. Let’s embrace change and let the fear of the unknown drive us towards God.
