3.16.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. Matthew 5:7. Mercy.

PRAYER: Please pray for our prayer requests tonight on Monday Night Worship. So many.

DEVOTION: “God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” – Matthew‬ ‭5:7‬

Mercy. It’s definition is this: Compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone whom it is within one’s power to punish or harm.

We had our Monday Night Worship livestream tonight and one of the prayers that kept coming up was asking that God would have mercy on our nation and on our world. I ask that today you reiterate that prayer.

God’s mercy, grace and compassion are endless. His plans are not our plans and His ways are not our ways.

As news continues to come forth about this pandemic and as hearts continue to dive into the fear of it all. I ask God for mercy. For hope. I ask God for compassion and love. I pray for those who’ve lost loved ones and those who are sick. I feel helpless in all of this. I think we all do.

So let’s resolve to pray. To seek God more in this. To deepen our faith. To deepen our trust.

God, you are here. Move in us. Let our hearts be drawn nearer and nearer to You.

This MNW was one of the best ever. We need to be together during these fearful times…iron sharpens iron…
