3.14.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. Hebrews 13:16. Good.

PRAYER: Please pray for the doctors and nurses that are working so hard to find a cure for this virus.

DEVOTION: “And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.” – Hebrews‬ ‭13:16

Sharing. Something that is beginning to happen in and around the world. The craziness of the last few days is not lost on anyone. The compassion that we as Christians should be displaying during these times is evident. Yet….are we?

I’m finding it hard to actually do anything with all of these mandates in place and maybe that’s the best thing to do. Abide by the mandates and practice distance from others to ride out the storm?

There’s a lot to it. Our response should be kindness, compassion and love. That’s the ideal.

So. Let’s continue to focus on how to do good even during a situation like the one we are in now. What does that look like during these times?

Maybe it’s being positive on social media.

Maybe it’s praying for your neighbor that you’ve never met.

Maybe it’s knocking on their door to see if they are ok. Keeping distance but at least inquiring.

Maybe it’s emailing folks to make sure that they have all they need.

I’m not sure what it looks like but there’s an example that could and should be set here. Let’s try to find it. Let’s try to be the church that God has called us to be….

Prayers for all of us during these times….
