3.13.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. Philippians 1:6. Promise.

PRAYER: Please pray for our president and the staff that are working on this crisis. Prayers for strength, wisdom and guidance.

DEVOTION: “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” – Philippians‬ ‭1:6‬

Encouraging words. You see, in the midst of our own motivations and desires, we lose sight sometimes of the progress. We get frustrated when it doesn’t happen immediately or within a certain timeframe. God is saying… “hey, I’ve got this and am working in and through you.”

This promise. That God began a work in us and will see it to completion is exactly that. His promise. He’s not going back on His promise. He just has a different timeline than you and I. I’m not sure if His days are 24 hours like ours or that his years are 365 days. Maybe? We won’t know until we get to ask Him.

But, on this day, take a step back and rest in the promise that the work He began in you, He’ll finish. That is a promise and one that won’t be broken.

These are incredibly comforting words to just let soak into our souls !!! This verse along with all the words in Philippians , have for me always taken all the pressure I have always put on myself, to do it all, to be in control. Yes, the world is going crazy but Our God Reigns!!! and He has it all under control. I praise God for the awesome GIFT of music and song, to just fill us up with praise and adoration to Him who created us all , and who will bring it ALL to completion in us until the awesome day when Christ Jesus returns ! Hallelujah, Amen………………………….Dave , thank you so much for the livestreams this weekend, it isn’t what was initially planned, but God !!!!!!!!! to God be all the Glory !!!
