2.26.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. Philippians 4:6. Anxious?

PRAYER: Please pray for this weekend. 3 more shows and 3 opportunities to get kids sponsored…

DEVOTION: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” – Philippians 4: 6

This verse just lays it out there doesn’t it? Don’t be anxious. So if being anxious is something we all are guilty of, we need to re-read this verse. Paul telling us directly to not let anxiety rule in our lives.

Instead of being anxious….pray. Be thankful. Let God know what it is that’s troubling you and present it to Him in prayer.

How often do I pray when I’m anxious, uncertain, upset? Being completely honest….not often enough. I need to work on this. I need to involve God more in these situations and I’m betting that you do too.

So. Let’s pray today. Let’s pray for our anxiety, our stress and our decisions. Let’s present it all to God in thankfulness for our situations and let Him walk us through it all…..

What are you anxious about that you need prayer for? Comment below.

This verse popped in my head on Monday night when we were with the kids over at Webster House. We volunteer there once a week and our topic of discussion was thankfulness.
Im so thankful that God is in control, it sure takes a lot of stress off of my back. I find that usually once you have full surrender to God, that is when things start to take shape right before your eyes and you can see prayers being answered.
