1.29.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. 2 Timothy 3:2. Selfish?

PRAY: Please pray tonight for our service men and women.

DEVOTION: “For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred.” – 2 Timothy‬ ‭3:2‬

Selfishness. Everyone’s battle. It does not take sides or play favorites. Every man for himself is not a cliche for no reason.

It’s part of our DNA. Part of who we are. We have to fight it every day. Fight the desire to think of oneself first. We are called to serve. To give. To love and to show compassion. We do….sometimes.

Today. This isn’t a guilt trip. It’s not a pointing the finger kind of moment. But…we are all guilty of it. Think about how to be less selfish.

What can you give away?

Who can you help?

How can you change someone else’s life?

How can you make someone else’s day?

Small questions to start with.

Be honest. Dig deep.
