12.4.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. A study on prayer. Part 20. Simple.

DEVOTION: “Don’t bother about the idea that God “has known for millions of years exactly what you are going to pray.” That isn’t what it’s like. God is hearing you now, just as simply as a mother hears her child. The difference His timelessness makes is that this now is for Him infinite…..You have gone into the Temple (“one day in Thy court is better than a thousand”) and you have found Him, as always, there. That is all you need to bother about.” (Pg19)

K.I.S.S. – Keep it simple stupid. We use this phrase all the time when we’re recording or playing. When you overcomplicate things, things get overcomplicated. Melodies and instrumental parts get bogged down with too many notes, too many ideas, too many intricacies that can get in the way…let’s keep it simple.

Same here. We can go back and forth on all of but the bottom line is that God is here, now. We are here, now. We are presenting our prayers, our ideas, our concerns, all of it to Him now.

And He is listening.

Not in a way that is distracting or annoying. He is listening as a Father listens to His child.

We have a direct connection.

Exercise your right as a child of God to have a conversation with Him today.

    salm 139
    The Passion Translation
    You Know All About Me

    Yes, pretty simple
    Psalm 139
For the Pure and Shining One
    King David’s poetic song
1 Lord, you know everything there is to know about me.
2 You perceive every movement of my heart and soul,
and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind.
3–4 You are so intimately aware of me, Lord.
You read my heart like an open book
and you know all the words I’m about to speak
before I even start a sentence!
You know every step I will take before my journey even begins.
5 You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way,
and in kindness you follow behind me
to spare me from the harm of my past.[a]
With your hand of love upon my life,
you impart a blessing to me.
6 This is just too wonderful, deep, and incomprehensible!
Your understanding of me brings me wonder and strength.[b]
7 Where could I go from your Spirit?
Where could I run and hide from your face?
8 If I go up to heaven, you’re there!
If I go down to the realm of the dead, you’re there too!
9 If I fly with wings into the shining dawn, you’re there!
If I fly into the radiant sunset, you’re there waiting![c]
    10 Wherever I go, your hand will guide me;
    your strength will empower me.
11 It’s impossible to disappear from you
or to ask the darkness to hide me,
for your presence is everywhere, bringing light into my night.
12 There is no such thing as darkness with you.
    The night, to you, is as bright as the day;
there’s no difference between the two.
13 You formed my innermost being, shaping my delicate inside
    and my intricate outside,
and wove them all together in my mother’s womb.[d]
14 I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex!
Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking.
It simply amazes me to think about it!
How thoroughly you know me, Lord!
15 You even formed every bone in my body
when you created me in the secret place,[e]
carefully, skillfully shaping me[f] from nothing to something.
16 You saw who you created me to be before I became me![g]
Before I’d ever seen the light of day,
the number of days you planned for me
were already recorded in your book.[h]

It is amazing that we can converse with the Creator of the Universe. I am always in awe of that. He wants to hear from us and loves us enough to patiently listen. We are all created on purpose for a purpose. I always pray to have my purpose revealed each day so that I can know what God wants from me and how He plans to work through me much more than asking what God can do for me. I know that if I am faithful to my purpose that the Blessings will come in ways I cannot even imagine.

Amen!!!! Matthew 8:10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, ” Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith. ” Don’t you just want to ” amaze Jesus” today with ” great faith” to believe for great things , miracles, in prayer ! I do!!!!!

Matthew 7:7 ” Ask, and it will be given to you, Seek and you will find, Knock and the door will be opened to you”.

I am reminded of one such incident I would love to share with you. It was a regular Sunday morning, I was getting ready, with my husband, and family to leave to go to our church. I heard very distressing news , I believe it was on the way, of a four year old girl, in Orlando who was abducted and taken from her home. Something rose up inside me, and we as a family prayed for this little girl to be released from the grip of evil. We continued to pray on the way, and when I arrived at the church, I ran to find the Pastors secretary, and so firmly cried out to her, Marianne , you must find Pastor, and have the whole church pray and believe for this little girl who was taken. She did, and as a whole body of believers , under the Pastors direction, we all agreed in the Name of Jesus for this little girl to be released from harm. The miracle happened in just a few hours, the news on the TV told, a little four year old girl, was dropped off on a corner in Orlando, completely unharmed and returned home to her family. Hallelujah, Amen !

God hears and answers us when we pray !!!!! I am sure every one has a story like this and so many more. Salvation for family members, cancer being healed and completely eradicated, oh so many miracles when we ” pray”. Oh let us ” amaze Jesus ” today, by our ” great faith.” Amen !!!!!

We have the authority to break strongholds, to speak to situations, to call the enemy a liar… there is power in the name of Jesus. We need to use it more.
