12.22.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. A study on prayer. Part 37. All.

DEVOTION: “‘Have we never risen from our knees in haste for fear God’s will should become too unmistakable if we prayed longer?’ (Pg 97)

Right. Incredibly convicting sentence.

But….a good question. A question that makes us question our prayer life.

When we pray, do we actually want what we pray for? Do we really want God to answer the prayers? All of the prayers?

His will be done? Really? Anything that He wants? Really anything?

So….giving myself entirely to Him. Like…everything or just the parts that I’m willing to surrender?

Does He really want it all? My whole life?

We know the answers. Sometimes we don’t want to admit it but we do know the answer. Even as I write this I know the answer….

Am I willing to live the answer?

Today’s devotion brings to my mind the ending of a prayer , it was this, ………………….leaving me no other consolation, but that of obeying You. …….and I make that my prayer today, Amen

Give it fully to Him. For he is our saviour and pilot. He is the potter. We are the clay. Mold us, shape us, trim us, correct us. Throw us into the fire when you know we are ready. Make us the masterpiece you knew we were from the beginning. God is amazing. Amen

Yes I am the one that went to my Pastor to see if there was a biblical reason why I didn’t have to move… So I get this. Yet where God took me… God has provided. In that providing has reconnected me with you and the ministry you have started.
I’m starting to learn as we clean out things in our home to have room for other things or just to clean out. It’s the same in life. We have to be willing to give up or move on from one location to another as it was for me, to be blessed with other things God might have planned. We are told to count our blessings. One is silver and the other is gold. Now I am blessed by both.
Like that one devotional mentioning a bit back do I pray big enough for God. As I’m conservative. So do I? This is like that? Am I? Do I pray conservatively too even though our God is so much bigger. Do I do that because I might not be ready for His answer.? Sometimes I think God answers me with closed doors to move on. Then I think am I ready for this… And try to catch up. If I’m honest like in the moving I’m not always ready. Lord help me today to be ready for you will to be done.
