12.14.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. A study on prayer. Part 29. Just pray.

DEVOTION: “And perhaps, as those who do not turn to God in petty trials will have no habit or such resort to help them when the great trials come, so those who have not learned to ask Him for childish things will have less readiness to ask Him for great ones. We must not be too highminded. I fancy we may sometimes be deterred from small prayers by a sense of our own dignity rather than of God’s.” (Pg 40)

Oh…such a great point here. God is in the small stuff and the big stuff. If you’re not praying the small stuff you’re not going to ready for the big stuff and vice versa.

His point here is one of consistency. We need to just pray. Continually pray. The focus that we’ve been talking about over the last few days is great. It’s a good thing to just be focused, to be involved in prayer day to day Whether those prayers be small, large or anywhere in between.

Just pray.

So, I know that we’ve been talking about focus over the last few days….but remember this. Even in the midst of focusing our prayers and making them just right…God just wants us. He just wants us to have a conversation with Him and keep on building the relationship.

So…keep on doing just that. Pray. Talk to God. Whether it’s big or small He is going to be in it all.

Prayers up for you today as you continue your walk with Jesus.

    Matthew 10:
30 But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.

If he knows such a trivial detail about us, God must want to know everything about us. There is no point on putting limits on God, he exceeds beyond our
    boundaries.
