11.30.19- Daily Dose of Worship. Ephesians 4:26-27. Anger.

PRAYER: Please pray for our tour in Florida. We have a few churches that we are trying to book and would love to wrap this up. Pray for Gods direction in all of this.

DEVOTION: “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.” – Ephesians‬ ‭4:26-27.

There’s a lot to these few verses. Don’t sin in your anger. Don’t let the sun go down while you’re angry. Don’t give the devil anything.

All really important points.

Anger. One of the many sins that pull us away from a deeper relationship with God. Anger gets in the way of so many life giving things. Anger pulls us away from each other, pulls us away from contentment. Pulls us away from our relationships with friends, family and loved ones.

This is where we can get so far off track that recovery sometimes seems distant. Paul warns us….don’t give the devil a foothold. Once we give in to anger, to whatever caused it and the lack of resolution…..our enemy moves in to kill, devour and destroy. We need to resist and make amends as soon as we can. What happens when something festers? It’s grows legs and crawls, walks and then runs. We want to cut it off at the start. Let it die right at the moment of inception.

Be careful with anger. Don’t let it get a foothold on you, your relationships or your heart.dailydoseofworship, ephesians, faith, hope, jesus, love
