DEVOTION: “This is the living word of faith; “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally.” You will never find that God ever judges you for the wisdom He gives you or for the blessing He gives you. He makes it so that when you come to Him again, He gives again, never asking what you did with what He gave you before. That is the way God gives. God “gives to all liberally and without reproach.” So you have a chance today to come for much more. Do you want wisdom? Ask of God” (pg196)
It’s a point well taken. To ask for wisdom from God. Yesterday we were talking about our habits and routines. One thing to add to the conversation is that in our prayer, we need to ask for wisdom.
Asking that God will grant us wisdom as we discern which habits and routines need to go and which ones need to stay.
The habits that need to stay? Prayer, devotions, digging into God’s word. The love, care and mercy that we show people. Yes, these need to stay. These need to be expanded upon and watered. They need to grow deeper and deeper into our habit rituals.
Talk about wisdom today with God. Talk about how He can bring more of it to you so that you can discern the good from the bad, the necessary versus the unneccesary.
Pray today for wisdom.
