10.28.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. A study on the Holy Spirit. Part 109. Patience.

DEVOTION: “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ; by whom also we have access by faith into this gracde wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also; knowing that tribulations bring patience and patience brings experience.” Romans 5:1-4.

Yesterday we were speaking about trials. Today we are speaking about the outcomes of the trials. James 1:2 says “Count it all joy.” Amen to that. It’s hard to count it all joy and yet, there is joy that continues to invade our lives daily. If we look for it.

This idea that the trials bring patience. Such a strong point. Yet, in the world today, patience is in very short supply. If you have patience, you’re in the minority.

I was just listening to a podcast and they mentioned this. We are so used to the quick and the fast response, the solution, that we don’t even bother to realize the process towards the solution and how that helps up grow and mature in our faith, our relationships, our life.

So, count it all joy. Count the trial joy, count the work joy, count the lessons learned joy. Count it all joy.

Prayers up for you today as you walk through the trials. Knowing that the trials bring patience and the patience brings experience.

The Spirit in us helps us with seeing the trial as a learning experience. As part of the walk with God. The Spirit helps us develop the patience we need…if we ask for it.

PRAYER: Pray today for patience. That God would grant you patience in it all.

Lord God continue to work in me to build my patience. I know I lack at times the full patience, but daily I work at it more. Thank you for the guidance and fulfillment before, during and after each trial. You are amazing. Amen
