10.26.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. A study on the Holy Spirit. Part 107. Trials.

DEVOTION: “It is those who have been in the fight who can tell about the victories. It is those who have been tried to the utmost who can come out and tell you a story about it. It was only James, Peter and Paul, those who were in the front lines of the battle, who told us how we have to rejoice in our trials because wonderful blessings will come out of them. It is in the trials that we are made.” (pg 187)

It is in the trials that we are made.

The trials suck. They are not a time that we ever want to go through. They hurt. They make us fall on our knees pleading and begging with God for some sign. Some relief. Something….

But the trials make us stronger. The trials make us learn. They give us wisdom. They make us realize that when we are in the trial, our faith is stronger, deeper, our trust grows and our faith becomes something we never thought it could be.

If we are leaning on Jesus during the trials.

The trials come. They always will. That is why we need to continue to build our relationship with Jesus. Look at it as an insurance policy for when the trials come. The faith we put in the bank, the trust we put in the bank. All of it at the ready and at our disposal when the trials hit.

Jesus wants us closer and closer to Him. Sometimes the trials are meant to do just that.

I’m not sure of your situation today. But…in the trials we are made. Our God is walking with us. Holding us and seeing us through.

Believe that today.

PRAYER: God, today we pray for the trials. Increase our faith. Increase our trust through it all.

It is in the trials that we remember God’s faithfulness. If we call to remembrance our past trials and how God brought us through, it gives us faith and strength in the current trial.

Remember; if He did it before He will do it again. Rehearse your testimony. God is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Remembering past victories help us get through the current trials. God is faithful – remember that.

Well trials happen all the time. Take this morning. I was supposed to be somewhere at 9am, but because I didn’t read the email fully I missed where I was supposed to be. I made it there, but late. Trials lead to testimonies which lead to triumph. God is good and he makes me to be a better me in his image. Blessings to all.
