DEVOTION: “Ezekial said, “O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!” I would like you to understand that God spoke first. he spoke so loudly and clearly and so distinctly that this man, Ezekial, who was filled with the Spirit, heard every word. I want you to understand that there was not any movement in that valley of dry bones; until the word of the Lord was spoken by the prophet, the bones were as dry as at the beginning. God has spoken, and the message had gone forth…..Ezekial then rose up and, clothed with divine power, began to speak; he began to prophesy. Then there was a rattling among the bones; bone came together with bone at the voice of the man filled with the Spirit of the Living God. God had given him victory. God wants to give us victory in a similar way.” (pg 183)
Here, Ezekial was responding to God speaking to him. Only then were the bones able to move. Only then was new life given. Only then was he able to make the old new and give new life to what was once dead.
Same here. Same in your life. Our God is speaking to us every day. Through His word, though others, through songs and during prayer. Are you listening? Really listening?
Let the God of the universe speak loudly in your life today and then….
Declare His promises over your life. Over your children. Over your job. Over your family. Over all that is in you. Let Him be the one who speaks first. Then declare those promises again.
We are filled with His Spirit. His words echo through the halls of our hearts, our souls, our very core. His words speak deeply in our lives.
Let them echo today. Let His words be your words and speak loudly and boldly the words of the Father.
