10.22.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. A study on the Holy Spirit. Part 103. Rest.

DEVOTION: “Luke 4:14-15 – Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region. And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all.”

I want you to understand that after the trials, after all the temptations, and everything else, Jesus came out more full of God, more clothed in the Spirit and more ready to fight.” (Pg 180)

The trials. The temptation. The tribulation. It all equipped Jesus to be even more effective in His ministry. In His life. Others flocked to Him to hear His words and see His miracles.

Isn’t that true in life. We hear stories of people overcoming obstacles and we are amazed by them. Inspired by them.

If you are in the midst of the trial. Know this. You will come out stronger for it. You will come out wiser and you will come out knowing your Saviour more intimately than ever.

Rest in Jesus during the trial. Rest in Jesus during the storm.

Let His comfort fill you today.

Jesus is with us in the trials and tests. He never leaves us or forsakes us. Whether Or not we feel or sense His Presence, He is there – in the fires, the floods and the storms of life.
We can take strength and courage in that Truth
    – the Prince of Peace is with us and in us. He will lead us through and help us along the way.
When we come through the test, we will have a test-imony to help others. (see Luke 22:32)

Powerful. If you’re struggling, reach out for him. He will catch you and lift you back up. Trust in him and he will reenergize you with his holy spirit. Rest in his loving arms and follow him when he asks you to follow, answer when he speaks (unless he asks you to be silent). Thank you for these daily reminders Dave.
