10.20.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. A study on the Holy Spirit. Part 101. Seek.

DEVOTION: Some people, just because they have been baptized with the Holy Spirit and with fire (Matthew 3:11), think they have to go and be preachers. It’s a pity that it is so. It is good that such a desire is in your heart, but it may not be God’s purpose for you. If you would get to know your place in the Holy Spirit, it would save you from struggles and burdens and would relieve the whole situation.” (Pg 175)

So looking over this passage. The one main point I’m taking from it is this. Even if we are or are not “baptized in the Spirit” or “baptized with fire” we need to take a step back and find the purpose that God has for us.

It’s not something that is easy to discover. But…I think God will lead us there if we seek Him. Reealllllyyyy seek Him. Not a casual prayer here or there. Not a quick question on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I’m talking soul searching. Fasting. Seeking Jesus with your heart, mind, body and soul.

This is where breakthrough happens. This is where the Spirit moves in our hearts. Moves in our souls and brings forth answers. Brings forth urges that we are longing for. Urges that speak to our souls and bring us new life.

Today….seek Jesus. Seek His continued path in your life. Today. Seek breakthrough.

PRAYER: Today, speak to God, speak to His Spirit in you about your desires. Your true desires and that you would align yourself with God’s desires in your life. Amen.

Proverbs 11:27 “Whoever diligently seeks good seeks favor, but evil comes to him who searches for it”

Seek God and you will find good seed. When you get that good seed, plant it and nourish it and protect it. But when it grows share it with others for that is what God asks of each of us. Read his words, digest it and then share it with others. Amen
