10.18.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. A study on the Holy Spirit. Part 99. Victory.

DEVOTION: “In one sense the mouths of the lions were shut when Daniel was in the den, and yet, in another sense they were shut even before that. The lions’ mouths were shut when the decree forbidding prayer to anyone except the king was signed and when Daniel trusted in God to deliver him. (See Daniel 6:1-23). You will find that the victory occurs at the moment you open the door of your heart to believing.” (pg 169)

Yesterday we were speaking about fear. Today we’re speaking about fear.

Just a different kind of fear. You see, this statement and this story speaks volumes about fear. The fear that would have paralyzed and crippled any ordinary man or woman is the same fear that Daniel overcame…because of Jesus. His faith, hope and trust in Jesus stifled the fear. Overcame the fear. Conquered the fear.

The mouths of the lions were shut when Daniel trusted God to deliver him.

Can you see the mouths of the lions today? Are they roaring at you? Is fear gripping all that you are today?

The Spirit of God in you is stronger than all of it. We just need to believe. We just need to trust.

Victory occurs at the moment you open the door of your heart to believing.

“Jesus told him, ‘Don’t be afraid; just believe.’” ~ Mark 5:36

Greater is He that is in us, than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4)
Nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37, Luke 18:27, Matt 19:26, Mark 10:27) and all things are possible to the one who believes (Mark 9:23).

We just need to remember that, and to remember that the devil is a defeated foe. We have to be bold in our faith and enforce the victory that Jesus won for us.

Jesus said, “It is finished”. He did it all – paid for it all. We finish it in our lives by believing it and standing in faith, using the shield of faith against all the attacks of the enemy.

The enemy’s strongest attacks are often in our minds, trying to get our focus off Jesus and make us doubt what we know to be true.

God’s Word is Truth. The devil uses facts (what we see and feel in the natural).

Facts don’t change the Truth, but if we believe, Truth will change the facts.

Fear not for he is with you. Powerful but true. Release of yourself and let in more of him. Be filled with the holy spirit and share the godly love with others. Rest in Jesus.

Yesterday was amazing and God filled and God purposed. He made it all work out.
