1.4.21 – Daily Dose of Worship. A study on prayer. Part 49. Just pray.

DEVOTION: “I suppose the normal next step, after self examination, repentance and restitution, is to make your Communion; and then to continue as well as you can, praying as well as you can…and fulfilling your daily duties as well as you can.” (Pg 133)

Pretty basic. But….it provides hope.

Hope that the way we pray doesn’t really get in the way of how we pray and what we pray for. The idea is just to pray. Pray often and praying as well as we can.

Repentance. Restitution. Becoming more aware of our need for prayer. Our need for forgiveness. Our need for a Savior in every part of our lives. Every step of our lives.

Communion. The constant reminder of the sacrifice that Jesus made for us. The act of taking communion continuing to humble us in His presence.

Today. Be reminded of hope. Be reminded of who Jesus is in your life and take heart in the fact that our method of prayer isn’t really a factor as much as our frequency of prayer.

Today. Pray.

Amen ! HOPE !!!!! ” the expectation of ………..good to happen” trusting !!!! Knowing the unconditional love of JESUS gives us hope. Hope in today, tomorrow…………but its so much more than those few words. You know what hope is , when you have been without hope. Oh as we once again embark on a new year with hope in our hearts. Prayer….is worship, the expression of our thankfulness for the goodness of our God, trusting that our lives, our day to day lives are in His hands. I love Psalm 31 14,15 ” But as for me, i trust in You O Lord; I say, ” You are my God ” ” My times are in Your hands.” Amen
