1.15.20 – Daily Dose of Worship. 1 Timothy 6:18-19. Treasure.

PRAYER: Please pray for the next few months. Some cool things happening but needing God’s guidance in all of it as we branch out a little bit more.

DEVOTION: “Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.” – 1 Timothy‬ ‭6:18-19‬

Storing up treasures in heaven. Now that is a bank account I’m interested in depositing some funds into.

Good works. Generosity to those in need. Kindness. Compassion. Helping others. Sharing with others.

All of these things are treasures stored in heaven. Let’s focus on those things. Setting aside the selfish gain, the petty arguing and grudges we hold. Let’s lean into kindness and love.

I love in the movie the Hobbit how Smaug was this greedy old dragon. This hoarder of wealth. Hoarder of gold and treasure. Bilbo just needed to take one little item from him and yet Smaug couldn’t even part with that even though he had so much.

Let’s focus on how to part with some treasure in our lives in order to transfer it to our account in heaven. Sometimes our treasure is time, sometimes it’s wealth. Think about what your are hoarding.

Today. Store treasures in heaven. Focus on how to add to that account.

Prayers for guidance, wisdom and direction !!!!! It great these verses came up as I was just praying for all the children we, collectively we, at MNW the children each month through this ministry, our $2.00 dollars each month for each one of the ten children we sponsor. And for my little boy in Cambodia, so grateful to be able to contribute to their lives , all made possible through this ministry and the compassion of Dave, making it possible for us to do this ……together !! And that is what it is about, Storing up treasure, God’s treasure, the heart and soul of people !!!!!!!It is such a priviledge, thanks Dave. Continued prayers for all the doors to open, and the wisdom and direction of God to pour in.

Definitely praying for you as you branch out. It’s exciting but I’m sure it can be a little intimidating as well. Praying God opens doors in Indiana and beyond!
